COVID-19 Omicron Variant Testing Issues

Despite more people wanting to get tested for COVID-19 due to the omicron variant, Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department officials announced that the Curative test site at the Ozaukee County Fairgrounds in Cedarburg, WI is closed until further notice. The closure at the Cedarburg site is due to "staffing concerns," the health department wrote in the announcement on its Facebook page.

This closure comes at a time when more COVID-19 cases are being confirmed across Wisconsin — the state on Tuesday recorded its largest one-day total since the pandemic began — and more people are needing to get tested.
