Riveredge Nature Center to host Frog Fest on June 5, 2021 in Saukville, WI

Adults, youth and children will have an opportunity to search for frogs, tadpoles, turtles, salamanders and other creatures that live in Riveredge’s wetland habitats at Frog Fest on Saturday, June 5, 2021 in Saukville, WI.

Attenders will have the opportunity to rotate to five different stations where they'll get familiar with frog calls, scoop for tadpoles and insects, learn about leeches, and talk turtles with the center’s resident Box Turtle, Glitter. Children will also be given a take-home bag of crafts to continue the fun in their own backyard.

Attenders can choose from either a morning 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. or an afternoon 12:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. time slot. Masks are required to be worn by all while checking in and while at educational stations.

Pre-registration is required for all attenders. Muck boots are recommended. Scooping materials like nets, buckets and strainers can be left at home as they are not allowed within the Riveredge Sanctuary.

The costs to join are as follows: all access members, $5; trail pass members, $6; and non-members, $8.
