A Summer Sounds Favorite will be Performing on Stage July 16, 2021

Texas-based band Green River Ordinance (GRO) will be back performing at Summer Sounds in Cedarburg, WI on Fri. July 16, 2021 at Cedar Creek Park at about 8:30 p.m.

The band has become a favorite over the years, and they will be well-received by Summer Sounds attenders after a three-year absence from the concert series lineup. The band performs a mix of Americana, Folk, Southern rock, and country rock.

For the last 15 years, Green River Ordinance has paired warm, melodic and -- occasionally -- rambunctious Southern rock with songs that centered around both enjoying life and staying focused on the things that matter.

“We’re at our best when we’re challenging ourselves about why we’re doing what we do,” GRO frontman Josh Jenkins said in a past interview. “The purpose can’t be to sell a bunch of records -- it has to be about something more.”

That mission comes through loud and clear on "Fifteen," the GRO's third studio album, which they recorded at their beloved cabin on the Caney Fork River. Drawing equally on country, folk and wood-fired rock & roll, "Fifteen" is a bright-eyed celebration of the joys of taking life slowly and reveling in the things that matter.
