New Businesses in Ozaukee County to Open

Here are the most recent announcements (as of early March 2026) about new businesses opening in Ozaukee County communities., plus down the road.

Grafton

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet (discount retailer offering closeout merchandise): Grand opening Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 1824 Wisconsin Ave. (just north of Harbor Freight, in a former Pick ’n Save space). This is a Harrisburg, Pa.-based chain.

Woodland Dental (independent private dental practice by father-son team Drs. David Grisar and Tyler Grisar): Grand opening/ribbon cutting and open house Friday, March 13, 2026 (4–6 p.m., with tours, refreshments, and raffle), at 1725 Port Washington Road. Features a new name, logo, and state-of-the-art facility.

Book and Cranny (locally owned new-and-used bookstore): Ribbon-cutting and opening Friday, March 20, 2026, at 1522 Wisconsin Ave. Owners James Cornelius and Natalie Merkle; focuses on thoughtfully curated books in a cozy space. Grafton Plan Commission recently approved it.

Port Washington

Verbosity Bookhouse (independent bookstore by local author/owner Melissa Kassens): Soft opening Tuesday–Thursday, March 10–12, 2026 (9 a.m.–2 p.m.); grand opening Friday, March 13, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. (public from 5:30–8 p.m., with open mic 7–8 p.m.; first 15 visitors get a free swag bag). Downtown location; stocks new/used books, vintage and handmade items, and Kassens’ own book. Inspired by her childhood in the area.

Saukville

Redstone Kitchen (family-run fast-casual restaurant by Amin Juma and Edita Siaulyte, with son David involved): Planned opening April 2026 at 470 E. Green Bay Ave. (former Lam’s Restaurant building, replacing the earlier Jake’s Corned Beef plan). Menu includes hand-cut corned beef/pastrami sandwiches, Italian beef, sausages, burgers, soups, and salads (10 a.m.–8 p.m. daily). Honors the historic Redstone Kitchen from the 1950s; extensive renovations completed. Juma: “We’re a family-run restaurant committed to taking care of this community.” Village Plan Commission approval expected around publication.

Cedarburg

Taco Bell (franchise owned by Black River Bells LLC): Opened very recently (expected within a week of Feb. 19 announcement; exact grand opening TBD). Pompette Crêperie and Café (by local couple Sam and Amy Herbst Cox): Planned late spring/early summer 2026 in the former Sunshine Winery space at W63N631 Washington Ave. (downtown). Handmade sweet/savory crêpes, coffee/tea, and a late-day light menu with wine/beer. Recently approved by Cedarburg Common Council for beer/wine licenses.

Upcoming openings:

Stix at Ulao Creek (golf entertainment center with simulators, driving range, bar/restaurant in the Town of Grafton): Site work starting April 2026; projected opening 2027.
