Southside of Cedarburg Road Construction Project Prep Underway

The City of Cedarburg Public Works wants to keep you informed during the South Washington Avenue Reconstruction Project. All timelines listed below are subject to change due to weather conditions or equipment breakdowns.

Vinton Construction plans to set out the traffic control beginning the week of April 6th. The initial phase of traffic control will close the two east lanes of Washington Avenue and flip both directions of traffic to the two west lanes. Vinton plans to begin the sewer main replacement on Washington Avenue on April 13th.

We Energies should complete their gas replacement work in the Washington and Pioneer intersection by April 6th. They will then move to gas replacement work in the Washington and Lincoln intersection.

The City asks for your patience during the construction. The project is scheduled to be completed by November 6, 2026, but they are hoping for an earlier completion date. If you have any questions, concerns or special requests, please let Mike Wieser,
