New Highland Road Interchange Opens in Ozaukee County

According to the WDBR, on Saturday, November 12, 2022, the newly constructed Highland Road interchange at I-43 in the city of Mequon opened to traffic.

This new access point within the community better connects users to a nearby hospital, school facilities, and neighborhoods.

The Highland Road interchange will help relieve crowded traffic volumes on some of the city’s busiest roadways by bridging the gap in connectivity between previously distanced interchanges.

The I-43 North-South project continues to reconstruct and modernize the 14-mile corridor between the cities of Glendale and Grafton in Milwaukee and Ozaukee counties. Construction is scheduled to be complete by 2025.
