Just like Cedarburg Police Department K9 police dog Ranger had a recent birthday, so is the same for Officer Djuke, Mequon's K9 police dog.

Djuke turned two years old in March 2021, and has been keeping busy so far this summer. On his birthday, he had the day off and his handler took Djuke for an extra long walk, and then getting treated to a homemade dog-friendly pupcake.

A second patrol K9 dog Officer Iron, was named a Fromm Family Foods - "Fromm Hero" in late June. Sergeant Schiller is Officer Iron's handler.

The weekly wrap up covering July 5, 2021 to July 12, 2021 for the Mequon PD in regards to activity, there were 508 calls for service with 36 "911" calls, 10 accidents, six disorderly conducts, two drug investigations and nine suspicious calls.
